Pre-Kindergarten

"Kindergarten Here I Come!"

 

Our last year before Kindergarten! So many things we’ve learned and so much more to conquer. We are now being introduced to the world of pre-reading through sight words, rhyming words, expanded vocabulary and communication.

 

We are using our fingers to add and subtract. Wow! Math is fun. We have a sense of belonging and want to be helpers in our class.

 

We want to take on new challenges and can advance at our own pace. Kindergarten, here we come!

• Reading and writing skills

• Understanding mathematical concepts

• Exploring our five senses through sensory play and Free Art

• Engaging our fine and gross motor skills

• Immersing ourselves in our weekly learning themes through Circle Time, Art & more~

• Learning Spanish

• Learning sight words and compound words

• Monthly Science experiments

• Independent play with toys, social play with peers, imaginative play

• Understanding and following simple multi-step directions

• Helping clean up, put things away, and understanding transition times

• Articulating feelings and emotions

Class Requirement: Must be 4 years old on or before September 1st. Must be fully potty trained.
